Jordan Peele is born New York on February 1 of 1979. He grew up in the upper west side of New York City. For his high school education, The Calhoun School was his Alma mater. He moved to Sarah Lawrence College but left after two years to focus on being a comedian.

Jordan made lots of characters when on the show and was loved for his imitations of Ja Rule, James Brown, Justin Guarini, Barack Obama, among others. He was also nominated for an Emmy for his song, Sad Fitty Cent. Eventually he became a cast regular and stayed with the show for five years.

He directed and also scripted the movie which was shot with a production cost of 4.5 million dollars. The film proved a success and Jordan was the first black writer-director to make more than $100 million at the box office with a first movie.
