Casey Starsiak known in the world of home renovation and real estate. Starsiak is the co-owner of the HG TV show Good Bones pins that have seen her dance, design, and persistently bring old broken-down houses into beautiful homes for families to live in according to their choice.
However, the road to the top for Starsiak has not been a walk in the park being characterized by several personal and working struggles that have prepared her for the task of helping her community.
Early Life
Casey Starsiak is an Indianapolis born and bred woman raised with support and encouragement from her family. Karen Laine, her mother, began she became a real estate agent, and growing up she saw how hard it can be to get through the real estate agent’s life.
Encouraged by the enthusiasm in her mother’s success and her sheer determination, Starsiak became interested in-home renovation and design and would sometimes assist with projects for their home.
Career
At the completion of her studies Starsiak initially embarked on a new profession in real estate like her mother before her. Starsiak had a talent of being able to see design potential as well as potential in any building that others may have overlooked and became one of the fastest-rising stars in the industry.
During 2013, to pursue the business venture, Starsiak, along with her mother initiated their own real estate and renovation company by the name of Two Chicks and a Hammer, whose main idea was to renovate and restore many of the homes in the Indianapolis area that they both hold so dear.
The program “Good Bones” that went to air in 2016 was a turning point in Starsiak’s career. The show, which has now gone a nearly twenty years and eight seasons, has given Starsiak the platform she needed to spread the word on old-world charm and the fun of turning a space no one would think to look twice at into a masterpiece.

Looking at the journey she has made to the top and through the lens of Media Studies, Starsiak has never lost herself and put family and community first. She became a mother for the first time in 2015 when she and her boyfriend Roger Starsiak were blessed with a baby boy, Tad.
In addition to expressing extreme happiness for welcoming Tad, the birth made Starsiak inherit passion for designing beautiful spaces for families and making the homes attractive and functional. The following year, adding more into her family blessings, Mina Starsiak Hawk joined the family in 2019.
Being a mother, Starsiak smoothly involves her kids into her work and often demonstrates her kids’ pranks and the things she has learned about work-life balance. Like in the case of child care, Starshiak is also committed to her family and has also championed for foster care adoptions.
Starsiak has consistently reached out for the betterment of these disadvantaged children which resulted in others getting to eager to emulate her performance.
