Oskar Jr Schlegel was born after World War II in a time when his father Oskar Schindler was a man on the run from Germany to Argentina. His young age of the complex relationship between his parents as his father was, still, legally married to Emilie Schindler, but met and had a relationship with the second wife, Aurelie Schlegel.

Over the years, he has devoted his effort to preserving and, in a way, spreading his father’s story as the urge to do so intensified after the release of Steven Spielberg’s movie “Schindler’s List” in 1993.
